General Honda Maintenance Schedule

If you operate your car under what Honda considers “normal conditions,” there is a general maintenance schedule. It includes checking coolant and oil at each fuel stop, replacing engine oil and rotating tires at every 7,500 miles, and inspecting valve clearance at 30,000 miles.

Honda Service Intervals

7,500 – 22,500 – 37,500 – 52,500 – 67,500 – 82,500 mile intervals

Perform tire inspection, set tire pressure, and check and correct fluid levels at these checkpoints. Car owners should also rotate tires and change oil and filter at these mileage intervals.

15,000 – 45,000 – 75,000 – 105,000 mile maintenance

You will need to check brake linings and hoses, fuel systems, steering wheel, differential oil, steering systems, exterior lamps, a/c and heater operation, and interior lamps at these checkpoints. Car owners should inspect the parking brake, clutch pedal and adjust it, struts and shocks, and undercarriage. At these mileage intervals, replace the air conditioning filter, spark plugs if needed, windshield wipers, oil gasket, and oil drain plug. Additionally, service transmission, lubricate hinges and chassis, re-torque propeller and driveshaft, and rotate and balance wheels.

30,000 – 60,000 – 90,000 – 120,000 mile

Inspect for leaks, air elements, transfer case oil, propeller shaft flex coupling, and fuel tank cap gasket at these checkpoints. You will also need to service battery, PCV valve, lubricate wheel bearing and propeller shaft, clean cables and terminals, and check fuel lines and connections. Vehicle owners should perform quality control at these mile intervals, do a road test, and replace coolants, the oil drain plug, and the gasket if required. All these should be done in addition to the services above.
